Angela Swartz joined The Almanac in 2018. She reports on youth and education, and the towns of Atherton, Portola Valley and Woodside. Angela, who grew up in San Mateo, previously reported for the Silicon Valley Business Journal and San Mateo Daily Journal. She holds a master's degree in investigative reporting from American University. She interned at The Washington Post while completing her master's. She also holds a bachelor's degree in U.S. history and Spanish from University of California, Davis.

Buried car in Atherton: Onsite investigation complete, still no human remains found
The on-site investigation of a car buried in an Atherton backyard has concluded, with the vehicle excavated and fully removed on Saturday, Oct. 22. No human remains were found, despite cadaver dogs responding to the car.
