Throughout Oak Knoll Elementary's 72-year history in Menlo Park, children have cavorted beneath the towering oak tree in the middle of the playground. Then a large limb came crashing down, sealing the tree's fate.

Let us not forget the lovely oaks that were removed on the other side of campus to make way for the "new" two story building. So sorry to see this one go, but better safe than sorry.
