Golden State Warriors owner divides and sells Atherton estate for $41M

Two side-by-side properties that were part of the estate of Golden State Warriors owner Joseph Lacob recently sold for a total of $41 million. The estate includes a 10,355-square-foot Italian Villa complete with heritage olive trees.

It's nice to see that an SB9 lot split created new opportunities for "missing middle" buyers to live in Atherton. There's very little housing choices available there for those whose incomes are between the millionaires who can usually find something in Menlo Park and the billionaires who can usually find something in Atherton.

I'm sure Atherton will count the new unit in its RHNA count, maybe as an affordable unit, since, technically it is suitable for low-income families.

I hope Joe Lacob uses the money to keep Draymond on the roster. If the money ultimately goes to Draymond, that works for me.
