a resident of Menlo Park: Belle Haven

I listened in on that meeting. I think there's still a little room for the city and Meta to refine a few details on community benefits, just to fine-tune it to what is actually needed; by and large, they have been quite generous. My main concern with Willow Village is that it doesn't make traffic significantly more hellish than it was in pre-pandemic times, not so much with community benefits. The elevated park may be used more by the workers and residents of Willow Village than by current residents of Belle Haven; however, as one of them, I will be very pleased to have a world class park nearby. If a grocery store fails with the Meta subsidy - don't kid yourself, I think that's a clear sign that it's not viable there. (I wholly think it will be, but don't keep them to it if it is failing idea.)
There are quite a few proposed apartment buildings proposed near Menlo Gateway that I am more concerned about - whether they will have sufficient transit and local services nearby. I am worried the city and developers will not do their due diligence to avoid a situation where everyone there has to drive to do anything.
