My wife works at LPCH, has for over 30 years. This is a good, but not great, settlement. In essence it trades raises that don't quite meet inflation for some improved benefits.

The real losers in this are the patents who worked with the replacement nurses (many were good, but many were not) and Stanford Health Services. Everyone knows that SHS could have negotiated in good faith since early December but didn't. They showed there been tone deaf to the realities of life in the here and now as well as the added streain that front line health care workers face day to day.

Now everyone knows that SHS management doesn't really care unless forced to.
