My boys are reporting many students at MA are testing positive. Some of them during school hours, on school ground, using rapid tests. The school district has thrown in the towel and is not even making an effort to mitigate the spread.
I recognize the importance of keeping schools open, but at the very least district officials could significantly improve things by taking at least SOME of the following steps.
1. Requiring N95 masks, not just distributing them
2. Mandating vaccinations
3. Requiring regular testing
4. Moving some instruction outdoors
5. Installing air purifiers in classrooms
Instead, the district is pretending this is not happening.
Our community is about to experience an even bigger spike.
