Given that "85.1% of Menlo Park residents are either fully or partially vaccinated", I don't really understand why all of this doesn't open in the short term (e.g. the June 15 California reopening date). What is Menlo Park waiting for?

The city is taking too long to re-open. COVID prevalence is low and vaccination rates are high in the county. There is absolutely no reason to prevent outdoor events of any type, for example. City services should resume immediately.

I agree with Joe and Ronen. Unless the City had to lay people off and needs to rehire to provide these services, I would think we'd reopen again ~June 15th with the rest of the state.

On another note, I'm proud of our community and the progress we're making on vaccinations! More work to do, but it's happening!
