Why isn't the Almanac endorsing Councilmember Ray Mueller's re-election to the City Council. Yes, he's unopposed, but that doesn't mean that the Almanac should ignore his candidacy and history of service to the City.

@conscience, thank you for your support. It was very kind of you to mention my candidacy worthy of endorsement.
Regarding the Almanac's endorsement, candidly I wasn't asked to sit for endorsement interviews this year by any of the local newspapers or local political party organizations because I was running unopposed.
I don't feel ignored, but I do hope voters don't interpret the lack of endorsement as a statement on my candidacy.
If residents are interested in viewing endorsements I have recieved they are invited to view my website: www.muellerformenlopark.com
THank you again for your kindness.

"The only rational approach for voters is to vote out the incumbents. This year, voters on the coast will have two opportunities to do so. District 4 covers most of the Coastside population and pits incumbent Tom Mattusch against two challengers, Dawn Korth and Lee Fernandez, both of whom live on this side of the hill. District 5, to the south, includes La Honda and Pescadero in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Incumbent Virginia Kiraly-Chang is running against Menlo Park’s Kirsten Keith. We didn’t bother with interviews in District 5 since we could not in good conscience endorse Kiraly-Chang." Web Link
