If the driver wasn't impaired, he or she surely was distracted to rear-end a parked tow truck.

@Pat MyGroyn - a lumber truck is a commercial vehicle. I would be surprised if the driver did not have a commercial drivers license.

This is the first time I've ever heard of the Freeway Service Patrol. Is this a new service to motorists driving on the freeway? Seems it would be a godsend if you were to run out of gas or have a flat tire while driving on the freeway.
