Letter: Menlo Church should apologize for lack of transparency

Church member Ruth Hutchins calls on the church to further investigate a pastor's decision to allow a volunteer who admitted an "unwanted thought pattern of attraction to minors" to continue working with youth for a year and a half.

Use the money on something more important instead of paying high priced legal firm that will come up with the same answer that no misconduct was found. By now kids would of come forward if something did happen to them.

But Ortberg should NOT be at that church. The only thing I feel he can do at this point is to take his teachings to prisons and jails and help in that way. Nothing else is acceptable in my opinion based on his unbelievable misconduct. I still get sick to my stomach every time I drive past that church, which is daily, knowing that he has been allowed to stay there.

P.S. I have never, ever written a comment like this, but it has been very hard for me to let this one go.
