Jury trial of former sheriff's deputy continued after defense challenges judge assignment

Original post made on Nov 14, 2019

The fact that Wagstaffe called a press conference five years ago to announce Lopez's arrest on cell phone smuggling charges - which were ultimately thrown out- while routinely hiding from the press other crimes committed by deputies, like Deputy Troy Smith's multiple domestic violence incidents, is all you need to know about corrupt San Mateo County.

"Lopez faces three counts of mortgage fraud," This is from the docs stolen out of Backpack. located in Deputy Lopez's car. The owner occupied box was checked on refinance documents. I think ALL Sheriff Employees should have there financial documents checked for fraud.

San Mateo County District Attorney Inspector Kevin Raffaelli testified in SSF court recently that he uses the word BACKPACK as a metaphor and he has used it many times in his criminal reports. I can't wait for him to testify in front of 12 jurors.

The two Search warrants were crafted to include the doc's that were stolen. SMCDA Inspector Draper has testified in a High Profile Murder case that he has requested/ordered the SMC Sheriff Gang Task Force to break into cars without a warrant. Sheriff Sergeant Jason Peardon will be able to address that directly, in front of 12 jurors he is in charge of the Gang Unit.

I'm going to guess this story was sent to the Almanac reporter by Steve Wagstaffe because I did not see the reporter in the courtroom.

Yesterday Tiffany Li of Hillsborough was found Not Guilty of Murder. She had a $35,000,000.00 bail her family put up so she could be out of jail to assist in her denfense,

The Prosecutor was Bryan Abanto the same man who was prosecutor in Juan P. Lopez's case for almost 5 years he was just recently removed, The reason given was the Tiffany Li case. Lets see if he comes back on.
