Update Sheriff Deputy Juan P. Lopez in Court today

Original post made by Michael G. Stogner, another community, on Oct 25, 2019

I still call Juan Lopez deputy because he was force out.

Today is SSF Court in front of Judge Elizabeth Lee

San Mateo County District Attorney Inspector Jordon Boyd informed the court that he has interviewed 49 witnesses for this case that has been active for FIVE YEARS. Here comes the kicker he said he did not record any of the interviews. That's a new one.

Some of you might recognize Jordon Boyd as the District Attorney DMV Enforcer who knew by just looking at Deputy Lopez's Driver License that is was suspended and he took it.

Five years? Is that some sort of record in San Mateo ? What happened to the right of having a speedy trial? Why isn't the Almanac doing an update on this?

>> What happened to the right of having a speedy trial?

Most criminal defendants waive this right so they have time to prepare a defense. Not many turn into this type of delay.

>> Why isn't the Almanac doing an update on this?

You're confusing the Almanac with an institution that does investigative journalism, asks tough questions of politicians to hold them accountable, etc. They are not and don't pretend to be. It's a neighborhood paper that doesn't make waves.

Holly, there's a real market opportunity to launch an investigative local newspaper.

Go for it! Lot's of whiners, errr... "posters" want to support you, just give them a holla!

Uh-oh, they're all anonymous. Shucks. Might be hard to get real supporters after all.

William L. Massey Senior District Attorney Inspector is one of the main players, in the Causing Harm to Sheriff Deputy Juan P. Lopez and his family and friends. He made two attempts not get Juan's girlfriend Fired. That doesn't seem normal does it?
SMCDA Inspector Jordon Boyd would do anything to impress Massey, including causing Deputy Lopez to be without his Driver License for 4 Months. there is also the time Deputy Lopez was ordered to show up at the Gun Range at 9:00 AM he had 4 days to think about that I went there 1 hour early took photos, That was a nice trick by the Sheriff Office. There was the Backpack stolen from Deputy Lopez car at his Redwood City Condo right after he file his paper work to run for Sheriff. The Search Warrant written later happened to be looking for Mortgage Documents, that were stolen and in the backpack..

Next Cout Date is October 31, 2019 SSF.
Next Court Date is November 12, 2019 Trail Jury Selection

On the topic of cops and Wagstaffe, I was dumbfounded to read Dave Price's editorial in the Daily Post about a crime by a cop that was left off Wagstaffe's press list. Price blamed the cops for the omission. Price sure has a short memory. His paper has commented before on stories where cops have been arrested that have been left off the press list by Wagstaffe. Like the Deputy Troy Smith case, who was arrested twice for violent assault. Web Link

Wagstaffe held a press conference about the Juan Lopez arrest, but contrary to what PA Post publisher Dave Price says, he routinely leaves off arrests of other officers. A Bay area reporter Tweeted last fall that Wagstaffe had failed to include in his press list that officer Rain Daughtry had been arrested for elder abuse: Web Link
