Menlo Park woman sentenced to three weeks in prison for role in college admissions scam

A 50-year-old Menlo Park entrepreneur who fraudulently claimed her son was black or Latino on college admission applications was ordered to pay a $9,500 fine and spend three weeks in federal prison, federal prosecutors said Wednesday.

Unfortunately this is a pattern of behavior for many years, having seen it first hand. I hope that there is real contrition and not just lip service going forward and accepting responsibility rather than excuses as were offered in defense of actions.
