Hard to imagine how any building with a helipad on the roof could ever be considered bird friendly... or be viewed as green and sustainable.

Report also states there would also a chemical storage bunker on site? A helipad on top of chemical storage...really?

I'm about as YIMBY as the come but really? A helipad?

Helicopters are simultaneously one of the least efficient means of transportation possible, and one of the loudest.

If I lived in this area, I'd definitely vehemently fight against this development. Helicopter noise pollution has the potential to ruin the QoL for everybody in this area.

The idea of a helipad is so ludicrous that I'd be willing to bet it's a red herring, designed to draw attention away from some other aspect of this development.

You’ve got to be kidding. The hubris of developers knows no bounds. And why not, when our bayside cities bend over backwards for tax revenue and shoot us all in the foot. Stop approving this overflow slop to the Bayside.

How is a restaurant a "community amenity"? A new library, playing field, community shuttle MIGHT be considered an amenity, but a restaurant sure sounds like a self-serving feature of the development project.

Why did Menlo Park pay millions for a General Plan for the period 2016-2040 and even consider approving nearly 15% more hotel rooms than were in the Plan that is only 2-1/2 years old?
Something is wrong. Can we get out money back?

Mayor Mueller was on the ConnectMenlo subcommittee and was therefore one of the architects of ConnectMenlo. After all the money that was spent on ConnectMenlo, it's a shame that Mueller could not come up with something worthwhile.
