Menlo Park council extends cannabis ordinance

The Menlo Park City Council voted on Aug. 20 for a two-year extension of the city's current cannabis policy, which prohibits outdoor cultivation of marijuana and smoking it in public, while driving, or near a child care facility.

Good decision. Pot is a gateway drug and I am an example of what extended pot use does and I can tell you it’s no good.

Menlo Park is run by old, white conservatives. This shouldn’t come as a surprise. To the commenter sayin ‘pot is a gateway drug’- that’s been proven to be BS.

I'll go by my own experiences with the dozens of people I know that smoke it and say that my experiences match up with the data that supports pot NOT being a gateway drug.
Booze was the gateway to my cannabis use ;)
Anyway, I'm sorry the OP has an addiction issue. it happens but those without such issues should not be punished, which is one of the reasons it it now legal.
It simply does not affect the majority like it affected the OP. If you have issues like the OP, you should definitely avoid it.
I don't see this having any real effect on anything, but it comforts those opposed for their various reasons.
The other thread on this shows people have been growing it for a while now without issue, but i guess if someone goes off and tries to farm in their backyard, the cops can step in.
A few plants will go unnoticed so no worries there.
Really not much to see here.
