One of the best ways to prepare yourself and your loved ones for an earthquake is by way of the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) a local volunteer organization sponsored at the national leveal by FEMA, the state level by the CA Office of Emergency Services, and the local level by the Menlo Parl Fire Protection District.

For more information on CERT go to http://www.menlofirecert.com. If you live outside the MPFPD, contact your local fire department, most of which sponsor a CERT program.

CERT will help you prepare for and respond to a disaster when it occurs.
