Now 200 of the 10,000 affected residents know a little more about what to do if a fire occurs. What are you going to do about the other 9,800?
And about preventing the fire in the first place?
PG&E is doing their bit, slowly, but they are not the only potential source of ignition. You can’t stop cigarette butts, equipment sparks and lightning, so what about all the fuel that is NOT underneath a power line?
What else is our government doing than holding classes like this?
Who is going to clear the rest of the escape routes other than Kings Mountain, and when?
Who is going to clear out the massive brushy landholdings of Peninsula Open Space that sit right in the middle of our communities?
Woodside Fire has announced it is starting inspections of private property for compliance with defensible space laws. This is wonderful.
But how far will it go? Are all non-compliant properties going to be forcibly cleared?
