Thank goodness. As written, this bill would have basically ruined Menlo Park, Atherton, Portola Valley, and Woodside.
- fourplexes permitted statewide in all zones
- no density limits at all in "job rich" areas (the entire Bay Area)

Thank you, Ray Mueller, for standing up for local control of quality of life. There is no reason why every community in California has to look like San Francisco, where curbs are public toilets and pedestrians and bicyclists risk their lives every time they leave work or their homes.
Scott Wiener is a developers' shill in crusaders clothing. He diminished the ambiance of San Francisco during his tenure as a supervisor and now he is trying to do the same thing to California. The sooner he can be replaced in Sacramento, the better.

Chuck Bernstein gets it!! Okay, sure: development was good at one time- specifically, when for-profit developers subdivided the lot that I live on! Ever since then, development has been bad, especially when it's this unfamiliar nonsense about "apartments near transit". That scares me!
Bottom line: THE STATUS QUO IS WORKING (for me and Chuck).
