SB 50 is not about getting more housing near transit. It is supported by giant corporations that want more and cheaper housing for millions of current and planned employees. The tricky definitions in the bill actually would empower developers to build 4-8 story condos and apartments - with little or no onsite parking - in neighborhoods otherwise zoned for single family homes and businesses.
