I am surprised any parent would support Goff with the schools in the Ravenswood district ranked so low. They have not improved at all in the years she has been in charge, Willow Oaks and Belle Haven both have ranks of 1 (and a 2016 percentile of 7.1 and 3.4 respectively). Compare this to Laurel which has a ranking of 10 and the 2016 percentile of 96.9).

The kids in the Ravenswood district are not getting the education they need or deserve and are being set up to fail. Goff has had years to make an impact and what has she done? Hire her son, reassign people that disagree with her, regardless of the impact they are having, alienate the teachers and parents, etc. She needs to go and not on Paid Leave but terminated and a full audit done.

I agree with Bryan’s comment. Why would the board pay her while on leave? Unless they are not sure that she did something wrong and she is being investigated at the moment, otherwise she should be fired and the sooner the better so she does not have any chances I’d coming back. Yes Gloria has done nothing. She claims that she opened a comprehensive middle school, but it was opened without planning and let me tell you it is not comprehensive at all. It is understaffed and not enough supervision. The teachers are working hard but when you do not have the needed resources to keep students safe they cannot perform miracles.

What a mess. Hopefully, they'll get someone who can clean house and fix the problems. (and not hire relatives). So sad for the kids who deserve better. It's always the kids who lose the most.
