Search for new Portola Valley superintendent begins

With Superintendent Eric Hartwig leaving the Portola Valley School District at the end of June, the school board on Jan. 16 approved a $19,500 contract with the consulting firm Hazard, Young, Attea, & Associates to manage the search for his successor.

RIP OFF! Those in charge of the district just love throwing money out the window! 20k to find a principal! There is no way in the world the last two superintendents were worth the cost of that!! First they want an exorbitant amount of money for repairs and now they want to SPEND money so someone else can do their job. There is a very serious disease in this district: consultants.
