Spare the Air burn ban in place for Monday

A Winter Spare the Air Alert is in place for Monday when burning wood, manufactured fire logs or any other solid fuel, indoors or outdoors, is banned for 24 hours, Bay Area air quality officials said.

How many fines have been handed out?
From walks in my neighborhood, there are plenty of houses running wood fireplaces even when it is ill advised to do so.
Haven't seen any enforcement or education.

This strikes me as an empty thread and IDGAF attitude.

Do these people actually step outside to breath the consequences of their atavistic rituals?

It stinks. But at least they drive electric.
