Shouldn't the Democrats be pushing the president to send troops and equipment to help the 50,000 Americans made homeless by the Camp Fire? It sure was reassuring to see the Japanese Civil Defense mobilize to help their fellow citizens at Fukushima.

Bill - hate to break it to you, but the Democrats have been the minority party for the last two years.
As to the President, he is not inclined to help Californians. He is (at the least) a very transactional politician. Even though Butte voted for him, the President sees the entire state as Blue, therefore unworthy of his help.

Bill - President Trump has now forgotten about fire victims - he has much else on his mind (canceling meetings at the G20, his son's legal issues with Cohen and the meetings, the Deutsche Bank raids today, his accountant in Chicago being raided today, etc..)
He may not be focused.
