I strongly disagree with the authors summation of Prop 10:
“California families are facing a severe housing affordability crisis. Unfortunately, Prop 10 is a deeply flawed measure that will make our housing crisis worse. Seniors, veterans and affordable housing experts all oppose Prop 10 because it will make housing less available and less affordable. Better solutions exist such as the affordable housing bond on the same ballot that helps working and middle-class families – but Prop 10 should be defeated.” No on Prop 10
The housing shortage in San Francisco due to rent control is rampant. Even the somewhat progressive San Francisco Chronicle has endorsed a NO vote on Prop 10 as well as many other Bay area and statewide publications.

Good lord no - this is just bad policy. If Rent Control makes sense, then Price Control makes sense too.
Let's limit how much each home can be sold for. That way they'll stay affordable...we'll have more affordable housing right? Let's give local governments the right to set the resale value of every home, apartment and condo. Whenever you want to sell or refinance your home, the city/county can set the value to make sure the biggest number of prospective buyers can afford it.
That makes sense right? Right?
Please vote AGAINST prop 10.

Peggy - yes on 10.
The other "solutions" have failed.

Proposition 10 has a broad coalition of support throughout California, with over 400 organizations and a growing list of elected officials endorsing it so far. Some of supporters include two of the most civically committed representatives Congresswoman Barbara Lee and Congresswoman Maxine Waters, and Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf. Here is a full list of growing endorsements: Web Link
And a video explaining it.

This is a supply issue. That's not to say that it doesn't make sense to take interim measures such as those suggested by the housing commission. But full-on rent control really just benefits the people who happen to be in the right place at the right time, often at the expense of those who are objectively most in need.
It's also, similar to Prop 13, almost impossible to roll back, even when there's abundant evidence that the costs outweigh the benefits.

Libertarian.
Vote Yes to let local government have control.
Local is better than state control. State is better than fed control.
Yes on 10.
