Can you please add a link to the project website so that we can see the configuration during the different phases? Hopefully there is such a website.

Sure thing, Willow Road Commuter. I posted a couple of links below the story.

The Fire District will be adding an additional Fire Engine and three person crew who will be covering East Palo Alto, Belle Haven and the M2 to supplement existing units and personnel on Rescue 2, Engine 2 and Quint 77 (Engine/Aerial).

In simple language, we are increasing staffing from 9 to 12 personnel and we will have 4 operational units instead of 3, to enhance our ability to adequately respond during the closure.

Hopefully, they will synchronize the traffic lights unlike Marsh Rd. to avoid stop-start and make an easy traffic flow across the overpass.

Fire district,

You should continue the extra staffing for the east side after the closure is finished. This would ease the problem of going west to east on Willow from Middlefield Rd during commute hours. Why isn’t this plan put in place permanently.
