Kudos to the Almanac for hosting this important column and thank you to the authors for great advice. I'd also suggest a public safety video called Eye of the Driver that talks about the importance of making eye contact with drivers when you're crossing the street. Web Link

An excellent place to start educating is with the Hillview bike riders who have a very unsafe habit of riding en mass thru red NbhMYsignals and stop signs downtown after school.

great piece and good discussion.

just saw a very not a child grown man on a bike decide it was safe to cross middlefield at willow against the red light posing a danger to everyone mostly himself. I guess he thought because one side of traffic was stopped he could sneak through. I see this type of blatant disregard for the rules of the road daily.
