Tuesday: Fire board to discuss strategic planning study session

The Menlo Park Fire Protection District's board meets on Tuesday, July 24, but neither the recent critical civil grand jury report on the district nor Atherton's look into how property taxes generated in the town are spent by the district are on the agenda for discussion.

WRONG.

If you read the Fire Chief's report, it clearly states that the Grand Jury issue will be discussed during their August 2018 Fire District Board meeting.

As for the Atherton issue, it was ONLY discussed during a Study Session by 4 members of their City Council, thus NO decisions, votes or formal positions were taken, vs. an agreement to discuss it further with the Fire District by their Sub-Committee later this month and again during their Annual Meeting.
