This group has held up building a new library for YEARS now, holding it hostage to build lavish new police facilities, and lo and behold, the library is still within its budget but the police building has gone way over budget.
Build the library. It benefits the residents, the people paying for this stuff.
Option #6: accept the resignations of all involved and get new blood involved who can get this job done.

The news got worse at the Council Meeting Wednesday evening. OverAA revised their bid for the Library Project to $19 Million. There is presumably nothing illegal about that, since there was no Contract in place.
While one can't cry over spilled milk, in hindsight it was an error to combine the two projects in the earlier bidding package. If separate, they can be separately negotiated when the bids come in. Going forward, as the projects are 'downscaled', the Library should clearly be put out to bid as soon as possible. As "Hijacking" says above it appears that there was some ulterior motive in the way the process was set up. Let's do it cleanly this time. It is possible that separating the projects and building them in phases could in total cost more, but unless the dollars are truly exorbitant, we need to finally get the Library built. I ask residents who agree, to make their voices heard to the Council Members. Thank you.

So Wally, in other words, what you are saying is that even though the money has for the library has been allocated and available for years, by holding the library hostage until they could raise money to build a palace for their beloved police department (and the money hasn't been raised, and their plans are way out of budget and reach now), Lewis, Didi Fisher and Degolia cost residents millions, because now the cost of building the library has gone way, way up.
The net result is we're going to get less library for the money spent because of the bad (and heavily conflicted) decisions of Lewis, Didi Fisher and Degolia.
Why are these people still involved in decision making for these projects? It's a serious question.
Degolia came on these boards to advocate for building the civic center and collecting the parcel tax. Why is he so quiet now that everything has come crashing down?
