Thank you, Barbara, for getting to the meat of who has made the contributions, and also how the money is being spent. It's extremely informative. Interesting that Clifford Moss is once again involved in a local public school campaign to push through a giant bond measure. While this one doesn't affect me, still, didn't Menlo Park just do a 30 or 40 million dollar bond measure a few years ago?

This just seems incredibly excessive. Why are the buildings falling down or having issues when they aren't that old, and compared to buildings in other parts of the nation? Does this happen routinely in, say, Colorado? Oregon? Ohio? Massachusetts?

This measure and those who are pushing it have been misleading. Follow the money. Look at all the donors. Who stands to gain with the passage of this bond measure? Construction companies, architects, landscape designers, roofers, steel...hmmm.

They say this money is for repairs that were supposed to be included in the previous bond that passed. That wasn't difficult to see through. The administration and supporters won't produce a specific plan on what the funds will be/need to be used for. Yet it's being pushed as "necessary for our schools". All I have been hearing is that the schools are falling apart and there is no other alternative than to pass another massive tax.

One visit to open house night at La Entrada and it was pretty clear, several teachers literally said the Measure R funds will be used to purchase new high tech TVs for every classroom in the school. That was the first I heard of that! What else will we be funding?

Not everyone in this town is rich, and can afford more taxes. It's already out of control- property taxes already go up every year as it is. This town already produces a huge amount of property taxes that fund only two- count them, two schools. And those schools are landlords and collect rent from two other schools on their property! Too bad it can't all be more transparent, but it's just not right.

I will vote no on Measure R.
