Thank you, Almanac staff, for getting the most information on the La Entrada lockdown available fastest. You retweeted the sheriff's tweet that identified this as an outside-the-school threat, and posted an article with details of the suspect and the incident when no other news was available. Much relief!

I wish that instead of "hoping that students and staff aren't there," the Sheriff's office had told us not to send our children to school.

The buses were rerouted elsewhere, cars bringing students were turned away, but the children who walk or bike to school all went as usual and were locked down when they arrived. After walking unknowingly through the area of the manhunt.

The school probably didn't have enough time to tell people not to come. It's the Sheriff deputies who knew what was going on in time to warn us.
