A VERY unfortunate incident that started with what seems like appropriate response and ended up as well as can be expected. Glad we don't need these types of skills often, but we are fortunate when we do. Well done Sgt. Rickel, Chief and the entire APD team. I hope this child also gets the help he needs. ~AA

Parents who went to the school did not cause a problem in this situation. Add a 100 more cop cars, a couple of dozen fire engines, and a bunch of ambulances and it will be a completely different situation. The streets around the school are not exactly built for capacity. That's pretty obvious to anyone who drives near MA during the start and end of school. People who go to any school during one of these events will slow down the first responders and deprive their loved ones of the help and protection they need.

Are there are students at M-A who don't speak English at all?
