She didn't kill the cheater. Whats the deal? She should get time served and maybe a little community service - helping at an abused women's shelter.

I’m wondering if a male billionaire with a great deal of influence politically, Or a football player from a famous University, Would plead temporary insanity have a fleet of high paid lawyers and get off on time served with community service and psychiatric help. There’s no information on how abused she was she’s just found guilty on a plea bargain from a cheap free lawyer. America has fallen farther every day from treating people equally, The reason our country was founded

You have a point about how a wealthy defendant probably would have gone through the system differently (though not sure the end result would have been that different), but the statements above that seem to indicate stabbing was understandable given the circumstances of cheating (and the cheating constituted abuse as defined by the law; I agree it qualifies as emotional abuse) veers way off from the notions of equality. If a wife cheated on her husband, and he stabbed her multiple times, should he get probation working at an abused men's shelter? The comments are ridiculous.
