Is this the same training fire captain who works 40 hours and gets paid for 56, as reported by the Almanac in August 2017? If this house would rent for $8-10,000 per month will this be considered taxable income to the captain? If it was a good idea to buy this property with a ramshackle house on it, then it is better idea to bulldoze the house and keep the property vacant until needed.

Chief Schapelhouman is already anecdotally respoonding to the Atherton fiscal study, so the Fire District Finance Committee recommendaton to "do nothing" in response to the survey has been overridden by the Chief. By all means, please respond in a meaningful way and explain how the fiscal study is incorrect, as the Chief states.

Facts:
The Board voted 5-0 to table consideration of the Matrix study.

The Town did not permit the Fire District to review the study for accuracy before the report was released.

The Town did not ask the Fire District to comment on the study after it was released.

The Town did not ask the Fire District to participate in the public meeting on the study that the Town is holding tonight.

Therefore there was nothing before the Fire Board upon which to act.

Personal opinion:
As for the shortcomings of the study, I have already posted many of them here on this forum.
