What's behind former Filoli employees' departures?

Original post made on Jan 17, 2018

Documents the Almanac obtained from a Public Records Act request may shine light on why at least a dozen Filoli employees have left their jobs since Kara Newport took over as executive director in September 2016.

The estate is much better off now than it was. All you have to do is attend to see for yourself.

The Board seems happy and as long as they are happy, we as members are happy since we entrusted the management to them.

The change has been long overdue and the new generation is running things in our world and we are in good hands.

Thanks much guys....

Let's move on guys. You seem to beating a dead horse. We have bigger fish to fry and I am interested in some of the new grass types popping up around Woodside blown in from the East Coast but I haven't heard anything related to this issue yet.

What a wonderful change to Fioli’s 2017 Holiday Tradition! (I had attended the event once before in 2015.) This past Christmas, the house and grounds were the star of the event. Each of the rooms was lavishly decorated in a different theme and the grounds illuminated spectacularly.

Change is always difficult, but this change is definitely welcome, and more in line with the mission of the Organization. I plan to attend this event each year as part of my own Christmas tradition.

Legallion has it right: you can rely on Almanac to report in excruciating detail on any juicy but unimportant interpersonal or political dispute.

Carolyn Daley, President of the Board of Directors states: “...Filoli is not only a regional but a national treasure and we invite everyone to come and experience magical gardens and the 100 year old preserved historic house.”

So go ahead and invite everyone to Filoli to become both disenchanted and disappointed from dodging commercial photo shoots and/or private parties which may happen to block access to the most magical parts of the estate on any given day. I'll pass, thanks.
