Police: Man brandishes firearm while stuck in Willows traffic

It’s dangerous out there in heavy traffic. All this problem rests with the city council and their staff. I know there’s no excuse for lawlessness, but the conditions in our neighborhood are out of control. In keeping us safe, the police should also direct traffic too. Keep these cars moving and out of our neighborhood.

Sadly this does not surprise me. In the last few weeks since the new traffic signals went in I hear a lot of honking and people yelling at each other. I am not surprise that someone brandished a weapon, I am just happy he was caught. It is only a matter of time before this road rage brought on by the traffic issues results in actual violence.

There are two solid stories beneath the incident. But the longer term question is how to get above the incident. Thank goodness for local journalism

Fantastic, I bike through there every day, and traffic is backed up through the neighborhood for blocks. The cars simply don't move, one light cycle after another, it's a parking lot.

Of course he got caught. Where the hell is he going to go?

As long as the police respond within a couple hours, he's going to be in the same spot waiting to get onto Willow Road...
