I'm proud of all of you who moved this initiative along to name the park in honor of Mr. Karl Clark. We must not allow our history to slip away...be forgotten. Mr. Clark and my Dad, Isaac D. Stevenson, "Steve" were Navy shipmates and long time family friends. Their commitment to East Palo Alto and East Menlo Park was powerful, impacting many lives during their time on this earth. Allow me to suggest there be an image of Mr. Clark attached to a name plate or plaque at the entry to the park. Years after we are gone we want it to be known the park is named in honor of Karl Clark...a hero and a proud Black resident of East Menlo Park.
