The PV town council takes the courageous step of doing what its citizens want, while the Woodside town council concentrates on obstructing them, that is, when they’re not busy policing each other’s speech.

Ridiculous decision ... especially in light of other jurisdictions effecting moratoria on this type of agricultural cultivation. What next? Cartel-type chemical poisoning leaching into the ground water of PV. "Fix potholes not potheads"! Get real folks. For those in favor, how about renting a room in the Tenderloin ... so you can 'toke your way to oblivion'!

A dispensary in town might well increase the traffic on Alpine and Portola Roads. Isn't it bad enough now, with Waze and other traffic apps directing drivers to bypass the backups on 280 by routing them onto our roads? The additional traffic might also reduce the effectiveness of the soon-to-be-installed license plate readers by increasing the number of non-resident tags the police would need to wade through to identify potential suspects after a crime.

Kudos to town council. It is absolutely the correct decision. Make Portola green again!
