Do we really need a whole new main library. I doubt it very much. How about some statistics on current main library use and a community poll before making a decision to move forward. Stop the rubber stamping.

I'm wondering how the city will be able to afford to staff the new library. The current library already has fewer staff than ever and they've cut back fairly recently. So not just the money for the rebuild I'm wondering about, but also where the money will come from to staff a bigger library (that will presumably have more staff)?
