Please no closing off of a traffic lane as has happened numerous times with the hotel construction at Glenwood & ECR.

Menlo Voter. is a registered user.
Whatever:
how do you expect them to do work in the street without closing lanes? And work in the street WILL be necessary. A lot of it.

Just the facts is a registered user.
Road closures can be kept to a minimum by consolidating work involving ECR and only doing it on nights, weekends and holidays. Site access should be strictly limited to Garwood and Derry. All too often Caltrans, and by extension the City allow the contractor to dictate lane closures on ECR which result in unnecessary congestion. The City should demand/require a lane closure plan that minimize any ECR lane closures. The City, and not individual citizens, should advocate this position with Caltrans. Left to their own devices Caltrans will allow the contractor to call the shots and we will live with two plus years of traffic misery. A little bit of planning and consideration for the community will go a long way in this matter.

The amount of dirt that's going to start coming out of that site is massive for the large underground parking garage. The fun with a thousand dump trucks is just beginning!
