This is a very important meeting tonight and there are items being proposed that many deem as severely increasing risk and reducing safety. On the positive note there are many Safety Issues that have been documented and many proposed solutions that would greatly improve safety.

This is THE chance for community to gather together and gain consensus for obtaining a safer neighborhood, with safe crosswalks, a safer speed limit, better road configuration, sidewalks, bike lanes, safer traffic flow, and a safer route and environment for us all, including the hundreds of school children, parents, seniors, and ... everyone.

Many officials from the County, City, and various commissions will be there to hear our voice. Come to the meeting, learn what has been done this far, offer comments, engage in the discussion.

See you there. All meeting materials and links are on www.UnivPark.org

So why is this meeting scheduled the same evening as the Planning Commission's review of the Stanford El Camino project? That will worsen traffic significantly. Why is the city making community members choose between important sessions? Why are these being held this week, just before Labor Day? I guess they don't want input, really.
