I hope everyone is ok, what a scary situation for both driver and cyclist. [Portion removed; don't speculate about what caused the accident, which is still under investigation.] Hopefully everyone can take away from this to always watch out on the road and be extra careful to pass cyclists with caution even if they are hogging the road

This was a tragic accident and not the fault of cyclists [portion removed]. Although it is frustrating to have cyclist ride in packs and 2 abreast, this has nothing to do with this accident. It is unfortunate for all involved and should serve as a reminder to be as safe as possible. I don't think it is appropriate to make negative comments towards cyclists or motorists using this incident as a backdrop. I hope that the injured cyclist makes a full recovery and the all of the other victims can heal as well.
