Man accused of attempting to kill three doctors

A Visalia man, accused of plotting to kill three doctors (including a resident of Menlo Park) for treatments he claims harmed him, pleaded not guilty Tuesday to three counts of premeditated attempted murder.

Thank goodness he was stopped before he killed those people. I wonder why he thought the doctors were harming him? Are there, perhaps, some cancerous lesions in his brain? Too often the medical profession does a poor of at explaining what's happening and I do think that there is at times, a perceived lack of empathy for the patient. Doctors can't always relate to someone from a different culture and, thus, misunderstanding can happen. I hope Mr. Chen is treated with kindness in his last days.

I'm sure the pain and drugs from all his surgeries has affected his ability to think clearly. If this case reaches trial before he passes away, I would support a temporary insanity judgement if I was on the jury.
