That would be their business and they are being successful at it so why would they want to curtail it? They are operating within the law, they have changed their flight plan when possible and people were still unhappy. Welcome to living in a huge metropolis people, you are going to have to live with some of the negatives like traffic, noise and pollution.
"So far, in 2017 the airport has received 37,997 noise complaints, it says." the question I have is how many people are complaining. This could be just a few people constantly filing complaints.

nomby,
I am sure they would be happy with that solution. If they were flying over EPA or Belle Haven they certainly would not care and there would be no organized protest. Maybe I should get a group together to protest at SFO Because big planes (jumbo jets) fly over my house all the time. Maybe we can get them to fly over Atherton instead.

"A flyer for the protest says that in the first six months of 2013, before Surf Air began using the San Carlos Airport, only 51 noise complaints were received by the airport. So far, in 2017 the airport has received 37,997 noise complaints, it says."
Let's see 51 to 38,000
Hard to argue with the statistics,

It's easy to argue with those statistics when you understand that those 38,000 complaints come from the same 1000 people.

Stats,
I think anyone who has a clue know that:
1) those stats are incomplete and don't tell a full story
2) stats can be manipulated to show what ever you want.
For all I know one person wrote a simple program that goes to a website and fills out a complaint at set times every day, not hard to get a pretty accurate idea of the flight schedules. Maybe it is not even that sophisticated it just files them one after the other. Lots more info needed before that number has any useful meaning.

we are all being used as stooges for the rich people in Atherton who don't work and sit outside by their pools while the rest of us are out working for a living

12 weekly roundtrips is an additional 24 FLIGHTS A WEEK, NOT 24 FLIGHTS A DAY! But, I'm sure that was just a typo, right!?
