When Woodside resident and super-volunteer Karen Seiko Peterson attends her Woodside High School Class of 1964 reunion in the fall, there may be dancing, she said. Or there may not be. "The older you get, there are fewer dancing out there," Ms. Peterson told the Almanac.

I think Karen Peterson is confused as to the events of Dec.7, 1941. Ms.Peterson claims that at noon on Dec.7 her ethnic Japanese grandfather was arrested by the FBI. This next to impossible as the last wave of Japanese planes headed back to their carriers at 11:50 PST (9:50 HST). It's highly unlikely that the FBI would be able to locate Ms. Peterson's grandfather, go to his home, and arrest him...all in 10 minutes time.

I believe Karen Peterson is accurate as to the events of December 7, 1941 in regards to her Grandfather.
Long before Pearl Harbor, under President Roosevelt, the Office of Naval Intelligence, Military Intelligence Division and the FBI conducted surveillance of the Japanese community and developed a list of leaders in the Japanese community, categorized as "A", "B" & "C". When Japan bombed Pearl Harbor on 12/7/41, those categorized as "A", living in the West Coast, were picked up immediately as a prime Enemy Alien by the FBI and forcefully taken away from their families to a Department of Justice Camp.
