Are they considering changing the restriction of size of secondary dwelling for family? With the housing issue in the area this would be a great thing for them to reevaluate.

Requiring a minimum of 30 day rental periods sounds excessive !
While I understand the desire to avoid having many ADUs used as hotels, owners have a right to do what they want with their property, as long as it doesn't infringe on their neighbors. Don't take away rights of owners.
Requiring 1 parking spot for each bedroom sounds excessive !
Main residences don't require that, so why should ADUs? For example, are you requiring 4 parking spots for a 4 bedroom, or 6 for a 6 bedroom? I think not.
I can't attend tonight, so I hope these points are discussed.

I hope Menlo Park will follow and lessen their restrictions. We have such a housing crisis and it needs immediate attention. There are many of these cottages in my neighborhood and they serve the community providing housing for our service people.
