Original post made by New Deal Home, Menlo Park: other, on Feb 27, 2017

"I have a plan, a very secret plan, to defeat ISIS in 30 days"

Day 31 - he could not have done it without all our work, right?

So secret, Trump golfed on day 30 Web Link In fact, Trump found it so easy to defeat ISIS with your help that he has been able to golf 8 times in his first 30 days.

Thank you for supporting the war effort! What stories will you tell your grandchildren about the Great War victory?

I supported the generals by reading Trump's tweets about his great victory over ISIS. Hooray for me.

Trump is a liar.

Looks like the replace part of Obamacare repeal is out.

Great if you make a million - saves a boat load in taxes.

Bad if you are sick. Or old. Or young.

I look forward to the total repeal of Obamacare. Our premiums almost tripled and deductibles skyrocketed. When we wanted to forego insurance, we were told we would have to pay a penalty. Forcing people to get health insurance with skyrocketing deductibles and premiums and then charging them a penalty for declining to join the farce called Obamacare is absolutely draconian.

If Trump can get rid of the farce called Obamacare, he needs no other accomplishment. He will be a two term President for saving us from Obamacare.

1) You only wish.
2) Be careful what you wish for.

"Our premiums almost tripled and deductibles skyrocketed."

Personal responsibility: you need to shop better. My premiums rose about the same as before, and I haven't noticed outrageous deductibles; in fact, preventative care has zero deductibles. Plus the no lifetime or annual caps or pre-existing conditions garbage.

But it all goes away with TrumpCare. And nothing in TrumpCare will battle rate increases - it is mostly tax cuts for the top .01% and heath insurance CEO's.

TrumpCare - the only thing on which Trump does NOT want his name.

New Deal Home, I do not know how you shopped for your insurance and found a health plan you liked but we did our homework too. Our premiums and deductibles were still going up beyond anything we could afford comfortably.

We opted out of Obamacare last year but we were told we should pay a penalty, which was a lot but less than what we would have paid for health insurance. It should not be our obligation to pay for the insurance of others when we cannot afford our own health insurance.

This is why we hope Trump gets rid of Obamacare especially the individual mandate. Trump may be a billionaire but he knows the pain of people like us -- the forgotten citizens of America who saw our jobs taken by immigrants, our school districts lost educational quality because they got loaded with students who could not speak english, and in return we are obliged to pay for the health care of other people. Most of you Obama/hillary supporters do not know the pain we the forgotten citizens go through because you have high tech jobs, you can afford to live in school districts which were not overtaken by students who can't speak english, and know how to pull the ropes to get the best health insurance.

"We opted out of Obamacare" Whaaaa? How does one "opt-out"? If you can't afford it, they have subsidies for low income families. If you chose to forego insurance and get your family's healthcare in the emergency room, then you are a burden on the system.

Wait a minute! I get it now! You're doing Performance Art!

You lost your job to low wage immigrants, yet somehow still live in downtown Menlo Park, have kids that go to Menlo schools, etc..

And - this is priceless - those low wage non-english speaking immigrants figured out how to get the "BEST" free healthcare, that you couldn't somehow figure out how to get! Those sneaky devils! How can they always beat us smart English reading 'Muricans at getting free stuff?!?

Your best line? "Trump may be a billionaire but he knows the pain of people like us"

Bravo! Well done! Colbert as a faux conservative never did better!

You work at The Onion, right? ESL Immigrants that somehow figured out what you couldn't - free "BEST" healthcare!

(in the tiny 1% chance you are not trolling, please provide links to prove your erroneous points - and here's a link for you to get free "best" healthcare Web Link )

btw: if you chose to not get Obamacare subsidies and health insurance, you are screwed when TrumpCare takes over - the GOP will slap you with a 30% penalty if you dropped insurance for more than 60 days.

TrumpCare for the working families! Bonuses for insurance CEO's, penalties for you.

TrumpCare - the only thing on which Trump does NOT want his name.

Sarah is lucky she doesn't live in Alaska - Trumpcare is going to add $10k a year to their insurance costs.

Will raise rates in 20-30 states. Highest increases (top ten) are all red states.

Trumpcare - leading the way in irony.

sarah: "If Trump can get rid of the farce called Obamacare, he needs no other accomplishment"

TrumpCare vote gets pulled because it was going to fail in the GOP led house.

Hey Sarah, I hear healthcare is more complicated than anyone thought...

Let's let the GOP version not come up for a vote,

then simply let Obama care implode under it's own weight.

We can go back to where we were before OC.

All is well,

@OC: "simply let Obama care implode under it's own weight"

Not happening - that's (yet another) Trump Lie.

The CBO told us that when they also told us TrumpCare will drop 25 million Americans from insurance: "In CBO and JCT's assessment, however, the nongroup market would probably be stable in most areas under either current law or the legislation."

The ACA needs some fixes, as any major legislation would after 6 years of GOP obstruction. But Obama Care will not implode - that's a Trump/Ryan/Fox lie.

The Right should just own ObamaCare - they wrote it, after all: RomneyCare in MA was written by the Heritage Society. That explains why they are unable to come up with a better plan - Obama took the best the GOP could do. The next 'better' plan? Medicare for all.

From the conservative Dallas Morning News:

3. Obamacare is not collapsing. But the GOP plan won't destabilize the markets, either.
Despite talk of Obamacare's impending collapse, replacing Obamacare is not expected to make a difference in the stability of health insurance markets for people who aren't covered by plans provided by employers. Either way, the market for nongroup policies is expected to remain stable in most areas.
From the CBO: "The market for insurance purchased individually [that is, nongroup coverage] would be unstable, for example, if the people who wanted to buy coverage at any offered price would have average health care expenditures so high that offering the insurance would be unprofitable. In CBO and JCT's assessment, however, the nongroup market would probably be stable in most areas under either current law or the legislation."

4. Under Obamacare, that stability is provided by the individual mandate and poor and middle-class subsidies.
From the CBO: "The subsidies to purchase coverage combined with the penalties paid by uninsured people stemming from the individual mandate are anticipated to cause sufficient demand for insurance by people with low health care expenditures for the market to be stable."

6. Talk of skyrocketing costs under Obamacare can be misleading.
The CBO has found that most people who buy insurance through the program are "largely insulated" from rising premiums.

7. Premiums would go up faster under the GOP legislation than if Obamacare were left in place because of the elimination of the individual mandate.

Until 2020, the premiums would cost 15 to 20 percent more than under Obamacare.

8. Why would plans under the new law be 'weaker' than current coverage options?
They wouldn't have to be. But the new law would remove the requirement that qualifying insurance plans cover at least 60 percent of the cost of a covered procedure. This would allow plans that cover only very small portions of medical bills to newly count as coverage.

14. It probably will be harder to shop for insurance under the GOP plan.
