Wouldn't this qualify as "electioneering"? Burmeister should carefully consider what he is doing. Did he invite the opposition. Are the facilities being used owned by the public?
Here is Erik's reply:
"This is on my own time and no this is not at a school/district facility. I am allowed to advocate, although I won't be, on my own time and without the use of district resources. I do appreciate the need to welcome folks who are on the fence or in opposition. I will be presenting the information in a fair/balanced manner; however, the event is sponsored by the campaign and the campaign will have folks in attendance and addressing the audience before and after my talk and Q&A."

The YES on Parcel Tax Measure X is the likely sponsor of this event. Stacey Wueste is their Principle Officer.

Stacey was the chair of the Concerned Parents group which participated in campaign strategy sessions with Whitehurst - Mosher under contract with MPCSD. Subsequently, the YES on Parcel Tax Measure X committee contracted with Whitehurst - Mosher. Essentially, MPCSD funded the up-front cost of the campaign.

Go to the meeting and ask questions. Ask why opponents were not invited to make a prsentation.

Jack why don't you go to the meeting yourself? You are the opposition you speak of...
