On Aug. 29, 2016, after a three-day trial and about four hours of deliberation, a jury acquitted Sheriff's Office Deputy Andy Mar of misdemeanor brandishing of a firearm. But there were witnesses. What led to that verdict?

Easy to understand (but definitely not right): police officers are literally getting away with murdering people across the country, so why did anyone expect Mar to get hit?
