Fox settles with Gretchen Carlson for $20 million and explicitly apologizes to Carlsen and others forced to submit to Ailes, and as instructed by Ailes, to his friends.
More settlements from Fox and Ailes to come. This happened amazingly fast - less than two months, so you know the recordings of the evil that Ailes inflicted on many women were most graphic and damning.
Fox: "We sincerely regret and apologize for the fact that Gretchen was not treated with the respect and dignity that she and all of our colleagues deserve,” the statement noted. (The company, according to two people familiar with the discussions, has also reached settlement agreements with two other women.)

More to come.
Just remember who Trump hires every time he tells you that he "loves women".
Regarding Trump - two public depositions of even worse activity (yes, actual physical assault is worse than Ailes-style coercion, as slimy as Ailes is):
- google "Jill Harth" (with or without "Trump"): it's obvious what happened
- Ivana Trump and her public depositions in their divorce proceedings. The response from Trump's lawyer(which is also factually incorrect about the validity of rape charges) Web Link
"Michael Cohen, special counsel at The Trump Organization, defended his boss, saying, “You’re talking about the front-runner for the GOP, presidential candidate, as well as private individual who never raped anybody. And, of course, understand that by the very definition, you can’t rape your spouse.”
“It is true,” Cohen added. “You cannot rape your spouse. And there’s very clear case law.”"
Uh, no, Mr. lawyer, you are clearly a corporate lawyer with no criminal experience.
This apparently came about when Trump was in a rage over some botched hair surgery, followed by some scalp-reduction surgery gone bad. (source: Lost Tycoon: The Many Lives of Donald J. Trump - 1993)
Trump and his good buddy Roger Ailes will have lots to talk about.
