This event is a traffic nightmare. They should not be directing people to drive up Kings Mountain Road. There are many bicyclists there on weekends, and I saw quite a few drivers unfamiliar with the road trying to pass in unsafe situations, crossing onto the far side of the road on blind turns when they could not see oncoming traffic. Drivers should use Hwy 84 or Hwy 92 instead. The organizers should understand the safety issues and be more responsible.

Agree that traffic is really dangerous for this event. Cars are parking outside of marked parking areas, blocking car traffic and bicycle traffic. Many distracted drivers are looking for parking spaces and not watching for other cars or pedestrians. Please do not use Kings Mountain Road is you are not very familiar with winding mountain roads. Hwy 92 is a much safer route up to Skyline, as well as faster for most people.
